Awards and Exhibits
 
Selected artwork will be displayed at the annual Pathways to Parity Breakfast on Friday, March 12, 2010. Winners and their guest will be invited to the breakfast. We also expect to award cash prizes and certificates to the winners.
 
  • Best overall: Top cash award $500*.
  • Top in grade division: Top cash award $250* each division.
  • Executive director selection.
  • Chairs of Steering Committee selection.
  • Smaller awards in each category.
  • Honorable Mention in each category.
  • Certificates of Achievement.
  • All artists will receive a one year Haas Foundation eCard subscription. The semi-finalists' art will be shared on the eCards and on other possible Haas Foundation publications, including the Haas Foundation website, our annual report, our book, etc.
  • All semi-finalists and finalists will have their entries viewed on the Haas Foundation's website for one year (until the next contest).
*Description of Cash Prize: Through the generosity of the Haas Foundation donors and sponsors of "The Art of Parity", art contest winners will be awarded cash prizes for the purpose of continued education.
 
How do I know if I made it to the semi-final round?
 
Our Statewide Art Steering Committee will make the first cut and narrow the artwork entries to a field of 36 entries for each division. Artwork submissions are due by February 12, allowing one week for voting. We will have all finalist entries posted on our website by February 20, 2010.
 
How do I know if I've won?
 
All finalists and winners will be notified and invited to our Pathways to Parity Breakfast with a parent or school teacher. The Pathways to Parity Breakfast is scheduled for Friday, March 12, 2010 from 7:00-8:30am at the Seattle Aquarium located at:

By submitting your artwork you are agreeing to make arrangements for the art to be delivered by March 10 to the Haas Foundation office located at:
