Success Story of the Day

  From Edmonds-Woodway High School

One student’s goal after high school was to become a personal trainer. He was interested in a weight management class, which was an ideal class for his career interest. The student didn't feel he would be able to enroll in the class, however, because his parents couldn't afford the $100 enrollment fee. With Saul Haas funds, he was enrolled and was one of the most successful students in the class, receiving an A grade. He was excited that he was able in enroll in the class and has taken advantage of this opportunity. Another student was enrolled in the Fire Service program, as his career goal was to be a fireman. Unfortunately, the student was supporting himself financially and was unable to pay the $30 fee for the required t-shirt. Using Haas Foundation funds, he was provided with a t-shirt, and because of the assistance he has been a success in the program throughout the year.
