Board (& Committee) Liaison - [ONE OPENING]
Work closely with Executive Director and School Fund Manager to support timely and well prepared communication to a 26-member board of directors. Volunteer should have good phone etiquette, strong PC computer skills with knowledge of MS office suite a plus. Volunteer should be available weekly - either M, T, W, Th. Hours are flexible. Duties include obtaining RSVPs for meetings to attain quorum, copying materials for board packets, invitations, agendas, and occasionally preparing minutes (as a substitute).

Assistant Executive Director - [ONE OPENING]
This position requires a time commitment of at least six months (longer is preferable) with three days a week in the office (T, W, Th) and an occasional extra day a week centered around project deadlines from home or the office. The Assistant Executive Director (ED) supports the ED in a variety of ways including grant reports, interviewing and evaluating volunteers, updating the website, and special projects. Volunteer or intern should have strong organizational skills and strong computer skills with Excel and Word. Volunteer or intern should also have a desire to be an active member of the Haas Foundation leadership team which involves attending offsite meetings monthly and actively participating in fundraising efforts of the foundation.

Researcher/Historian - [ONE OPENING]
We have a backlog of projects that will help the foundation tremendously. Examples are as follows:

- Photos of founders
- Research at Uof W on Saul Haas, our founder

Projects are assigned by ED based on agency priorities and volunteer’s interest and skill set. Volunteer should enjoy reading, research, and have patience and be organized. PC skills are required. Hours and days of the week are flexible, including weekends. We suggest a 4 hours per week commitment.

Lead Graphic Designer - [ONE OPENING]
Looking for an enthusiastic, talented, part-time volunteer graphic designer. Work would include support in designing newsletters, brochures, business cards, and letterheads as well as various other projects. If you are passionate about working for a non-profit and being part of our mission while gaining more experience in graphic design, please join our team. Person would supervise one to two other graphic designers in implementing the Haas Brand, training and documenting the process. Must be a team member and willing to attend a once a month offsite leadership team meeting.
Our ideal volunteer would be available 1- 2 days a week, Mondays-Fridays (hours are flexible). Experience in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Microsoft Word would be essential. We work on PC platform.

Lead Virtual Editor - [ONE OPENING]
We are in the process of editing stories for our website about the students we help. We post live daily our stories on our site, thanks to our volunteer editors. In order to do this we need individuals with editing experience to help edit our stories. This can be done from home - - very few office hours required once trained. This is an exciting project and a great way to learn about how the Haas Foundation encourages students to stay in school and get involved in their learning community.

Development Coordinator
The development coordinator puts their organizational skills to good use creating a statewide special event and annual appeal campaign. Learn the art of being a master storyteller while creating equity for students through partnering with schools. The Development Coordinator must possess strong computer, organizational, and customer service skills and have the ability to multi-task. Good human relation skills are important to the successful performance of this position. Two-years of college is required, a four-year degree is preferred. Previous experience in computers is required (PC Windows XP platform, Word, Excel, Outlook). Strong background in data base entry and event planning is a plus. Some working knowledge of project management is helpful. To apply we require either a cover letter and resumé or our volunteer application (online) to be completed. Marketing and Development INTERNSHIP (unpaid) or Volunteer! - [ONE OPENING]
The Saul and Dayee G. Haas Foundation has one vacancy for a VOLUNTEER Development and Marketing Coordinator Intern. Our preference would be that this person is able to volunteer for six months to one year. One quarter internships are available and focused on specific projects to implement and document/support.
